Ohms integrates seamlessly with Apple Health as our main source of health data. If your device connects with Apple Health, we can incorporate that data.
To ensure secure data flow and privacy, we limit direct connections.
This allows you to manage your data through Apple Health’s privacy settings, providing complete control and a seamless, encrypted data pipeline.
We need at least 2 weeks of data for an attribute (e.g. sleep duration, step count, meditation minutes) before we can reliably identify correlations between that data and your reported mood/energy levels. After that initial period, correlations are updated live as you accumulate more data.
We centralize permissions in Apple Health to make it easy to understand what is being shared and make changes.
Go to the Apple Health app.
Tap on the “Sharing” icon on the bottom menu.
Tap on “Apps and Services.”
Scroll down to the Ohms app and tap on the icon.
This will bring up all the data sharing permissions with Ohms.
You can make changes here by toggling the switches for each data type.
We are expanding the number of devices that can run Breathwork sessions. We began with the Apple Watch due to its seamless integration with the Apple ecosystem.
With so many wearables on the market, our list isn’t exhaustive. If your device connects with Apple Health, Ohms can integrate its data into Ohms Score.
Please check with your service provider to confirm Apple Health compatibility.
The easiest way to cancel is through the settings app on your mobile device.
Tap your profile icon on the top left.
Scroll down to the "Delete Account" link
Tap “Delete Account" and go through the process.
When beginning a new exercise routine, like breathwork, some initial discomfort is normal. Remember, your safety is key. If you feel dizzy or light-headed, take a break and breathe naturally. Adjust your pace when you're ready, and go slower if needed.
Ohms lets you recalibrate your breathing rhythm to ensure each exercise is attuned to your comfort and capabilities.
Sessions labeled as 'Energy' involve faster breathing than usual. If you have health concerns that could be affected by this, please avoid these sessions.
Fast breathing might cause light-headedness, dizziness, fatigue, coughing, or chest tightness. If you experience any pain or increasing discomfort during these exercises, stop immediately and allow your breathing and heart rate to return to normal.
Breathwork and meditation can be effective in managing anxiety. However, if you find your anxiety isn't improving or is intensifying, it's important to consult with a healthcare professional. They can help you understand your symptoms and explore potential treatments, ensuring you receive the appropriate care for your mental health needs.
If you are pregnant, we do not recommend practicing any breath holds or fast-paced breathing. Please consult with your doctor first.
If you have ongoing health concerns or take any medications, please consult your physician before starting any new exercise or activity.
Please consult your doctor first if any of the following apply to you:
Have suffered a heart attack in the past month.
Recent eye, chest, or abdominal surgery.
Have tuberculosis.
Have hypertension.
